Salsify is a fast-growing e-commerce technology provider. The company acquired Alkemics, a French product data company, in 2021. As part of their premium content marketing strategy Salsify wanted to create unique content for European executives as many existing reports are aimed at US-audience.
Salsify commissioned Interpretive Economics to produce a bespoke e-book featuring original research and data relating to the impact of product data on Amazon in France, Germany and the UK.
We scrapped data from over 15,000 Amazon product pages in France, Germany and the UK to create a unique database of content metrics. Using this dataset, developed a proprietary content grading system aligned to Salsify’s definition of industry best practices. Sales impact was calculated using the Amazon’s Bestseller Rank and sales data from Jungle Scout. T
The report formed a key aspect of the Salsify's H1 2022 European marketing strategy. European-focused analytics enabled Salsify's salesforce to more effectively drive engagement with European-executives.
